GUARDIAN PROGRAM

WHY IS LABRADOODLE ANGELS USING A GUARDIAN PROGRAM?

As the owner of Labradoodle Angels, I firmly believe that every dog has the right to enjoy special loving attention from me or a forever home. If I continue breeding, I must secure back up breeders as replacements for the future retirement of the breeding girls and boy I currently own. It is time to begin raising young puppies toward this purpose. I have two options to do this: (1) Expand and place them in kennels with no individual quality love time or (2) Restrict the number of dogs on my property by using the Guardian Home Program where each dog will receive what it should in loving care and one-on-one attention.

WHAT IS LABRADOODLE ANGELS GUARDIAN HOME PROGRAM?

This program is designed to offer families within one to one and a half (1 to 1-1/2) hour's drive of Labradoodle Angels an opportunity to have a “pick of the litter” puppy at a very low cost. This Guardian dog or puppy will be a part of the Guardian Family’s home forever with the breeding rights of the dog/puppy retained by Labradoodle Angels. The number of times bred will vary with each Guardian Family and the chosen puppy/dog. Females usually have 2–4 litters. After this breeding period is over Labradoodle Angels will spay/neuter the puppy/dog at Labradoodle Angels expense at which time the dog will be the Guardian Family’s forever pet.

WHAT WILL GUARDIAN FAMILIES DO DURING THE BREEDING?

If you have a puppy, breeding will begin on the second season (at approximately 1 yrs age). The female will have completed her testing at that point and be pronounced healthy for breeding. The Guardian Family notifies Labradoodle Angels immediately when the female’s season is beginning. (I tell you how to recognize this.) The heat cycle usually lasts approximately 14 – 21 days. During this time, Labradoodle Angels will be allowed access to the dog for breeding related appointments. After the breeding is completed, the dog returns to her Guardian Home where she stays until one week prior to having her puppies. At this time she is returned to Labradoodle Angels for whelping and raising the puppies. When the puppies have been weaned (approximately 7 weeks after birth) the dog will be returned to the Guardian Family. Guardian Families are welcome to schedule times to visit their dog and the puppies during this period.

WHAT’S GOOD ABOUT BEING A GUARDIAN FAMILY?

Besides getting a top quality beautiful Labradoodle at a low reduced price, the Guardian Family becomes a part of sharing the steps of breeding, watching their dog’s puppies grow and being placed in forever homes. They will experience the fun of knowing that their dog’s puppies are contributing to others’ happiness and well being just as their dog has done for them. Who wouldn’t want an Angel in their home!

You will be receiving a pick-of-the-litter puppy/dog that has been thoroughly tested for physical defects at the expense of Labradoodle Angels. You will know your dog has been bred from a successful line of breeding males and females. A pedigree will be provided to you with the dog’s registration at ALAA. You will not have to wonder about your dog’s heritage, health, or soundness.

If your puppy does not pass the stringent breeding requirements, she/he will be spayed/neutered at Labradoodle Angel’s expense and will remain with her Guardian Family forever home as a pet. *

IS THERE A COST TO MY PARTICIPATION AS A GUARDIAN FAMILY?

Yes, there is the usual cost of the daily care and maintenance of any pet. You will be responsible for the general veterinary care and wellness of the Guardian Puppy/Dog which includes vaccinations, worming, flea/tick prevention, training, maintenance of coat, teeth, ears, feet, nails, socialization, etc. It will be necessary to keep your dog licensed. You will feed the Guardian Dog a high quality dog food and exercise the puppy/dog on a regular basis. It is a given that you would also provide the love, care, and consideration that would be given any pet dog in your ownership – which is always returned two fold from your Guardian Dog via loyalty, fun, and loving kisses.

If you have received a puppy, Labradoodle Angels will need to receive or take updated photos on a regular basis to post on the website along with the medical testing results for the puppy/dog. It may also be necessary for me to visit your home during this first year to build a relationship with your dog prior to delivery of the puppies. You will want to bring your dog to Labradoodle Angels a few times the first year prior to whelping for the dog’s familiarization of the home and grounds prior to giving birth.

HOW DO I QUALIFY?

The Guardian Home should be within one to one and a half (1 to 1-1/2) hour's drive of Labradoodle Angels. You must own your own home and have a physically fenced back yard (preferably 6’ tall) that is escape proof. You will have someone in your family home during most of each day without leaving the dog/puppy alone for extended periods on consecutive days. As you will be bringing the dog to visit, it is necessary you have dependable transportation to facilitate this trip and other trips to the veterinarians, groomers, trainers, etc. If you are a prior puppy/dog owner, a reference with your past veterinarian may be required. You will have the same goal as Labradoodle Angels in that you will want the best care possible for your pet and to keep your pet safe at all times. You will have a desire to be a part of the breeding process for your dog and will enjoy seeing the resultant puppies grow and develop into the sweet Angels that they will become.

HOW DO I APPLY? – I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS!

If you would like to discuss this program or make application to apply for a Labradoodle Angel Guardian Home, please feel free to call or E-mail at any time. The mature dogs and puppies available for this program will vary from time to time so do not hesitate to see what great opportunities are available now and in the future!
